Aioli Terms of Service

Effective Date: 4 September 2026

Aioli Technologies Limited, company number 17328986
Registered office: Calder & Co, 30 Orange Street, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 7HF

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you and Aioli Technologies Limited ("Aioli", "we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of the Aioli mobile application, websites, recipe import tools, recipe management features, meal planning tools, grocery list features, household collaboration features, artificial intelligence features, community features, creator features, advertising-supported features, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, creating an account, importing or saving a recipe, joining a household, or otherwise using Aioli, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy available at https://www.aioli.recipes/privacy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

You represent that you have the legal authority to accept these Terms and that you are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable law.

2. Your Account

You may need to create an account to use some features of the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Please notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may delete your account through the Service where available or by contacting us. Account deletion is subject to our Privacy Policy and may not remove content that has already been shared with other users, copied by other users, retained in backups, retained for legal or security purposes, or de-identified.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree that Aioli may contact you with service-related messages about your account, authentication, app functionality, security, legal notices, policy updates, or important product changes.

Marketing emails are handled according to our Privacy Policy and your email preferences. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails, but we may still send non-marketing service messages where lawful.

4. License to Use Aioli

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use.

You must not copy, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, distribute, commercially exploit, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, scrape, crawl, bulk export, interfere with, disrupt, or misuse the Service. You must not bypass rate limits, usage limits, security controls, or access restrictions, or use the Service to build or train a competing product or service.

5. Free Access, Paid Features, and Changes to the Service

Aioli currently offers both free and paid access to the Service. Paid plans, subscriptions, one-time purchases, and other paid offerings ("Paid Plans") may be purchased through an app marketplace (such as the Apple App Store or Google Play), directly through us, or through other channels we may offer from time to time.

Pricing, currency, billing frequency, and any trial or promotional terms are shown at the time and place of purchase and may vary by plan, region, channel, or promotion. We may change pricing, introduce new Paid Plans, or modify or discontinue promotional offers at any time.

Paid Plans obtained through an app marketplace are billed, renewed, and cancelled according to that marketplace's own terms and policies. Paid Plans purchased directly through us are subject to the payment terms presented at checkout. Your payment information is subject to the applicable marketplace's or payment processor's own terms and privacy practices.

Free access does not guarantee unlimited usage or that any feature will remain free permanently. We may add, remove, limit, suspend, discontinue, make paid, or modify features for legal, commercial, technical, safety, abuse-prevention, platform, or product reasons.

6. Fair Use and Usage Limits

We may apply or change usage limits, rate limits, storage limits, recipe import limits, AI feature limits, grocery or meal-plan limits, household or member limits, sharing limits, API restrictions, automation restrictions, or other reasonable restrictions to protect performance, control costs, prevent abuse, comply with law or platform rules, and preserve the Service for other users.

7. User Content

"User Content" means content, information, and materials that you submit, upload, import, create, save, post, share, or otherwise make available through the Service, including recipes, recipe notes, photos, videos, links, imported recipe content, grocery lists, meal plans, pantry information, household information, comments, ratings, collections, profile information, feedback, and AI prompts or outputs.

You retain ownership of your User Content, subject to the rights granted in these Terms. You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have all rights, permissions, lawful bases, or applicable exceptions necessary to submit, import, save, share, publish, or otherwise use it through the Service.

8. License You Grant to Aioli

To operate, provide, maintain, improve, protect, personalize, share, and support the Service, you grant Aioli a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to host, store, reproduce, modify, adapt, display, perform, distribute, publish, translate, create derivative works from, and otherwise use your User Content in connection with the Service.

For private User Content, we will use this license only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, improve, personalize, and support the Service as described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy. We will not use private User Content in public marketing materials without your permission.

For User Content that you choose to make public, publish, submit to community areas, or share through public links, you understand that others may view, save, copy, use, and re-share that content. Public or community content may be displayed, promoted, indexed, featured, and re-shared within or outside Aioli according to the relevant feature and settings.

9. Recipe Imports and Third-Party Content

Aioli may allow you to import, save, summarize, transform, organize, or reference recipes and other content from third-party websites, apps, social media platforms, videos, posts, creators, publishers, or other sources. Third-party content belongs to its respective owners, and Aioli does not claim ownership of it.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of third-party content complies with applicable laws, third-party terms, and the rights of the content owner. Aioli does not control, endorse, verify, or guarantee third-party content.

Aioli may process, parse, format, summarize, transform, store, display, and share imported content as needed to provide the requested feature. Aioli may remove, restrict, disable, or de-index content that may infringe rights, violate law or platform rules, create legal or commercial risk, or receive a rights complaint.

10. Third-Party Platforms and Services

Aioli is not affiliated with or endorsed by TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Facebook, recipe websites, app stores, or other third-party platforms unless expressly stated.

You are responsible for complying with third-party platform terms. Aioli does not guarantee that imports, links, integrations, or third-party services will work. Third-party platforms may change, block, limit, remove, or restrict access at any time. We may limit, disable, change, or remove import functionality for legal, technical, platform, commercial, or risk-management reasons.

11. AI Features

Aioli may include artificial intelligence features, including recipe import, recipe parsing, recipe generation, meal planning, grocery list generation, substitutions, cooking assistance, recommendations, and other automated features.

AI features may produce inaccurate, incomplete, unsafe, offensive, or unsuitable results. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before relying on it, cooking from it, sharing it, or serving food based on it. Do not rely on AI features for medical, nutritional, allergy, food safety, legal, financial, or other professional advice.

12. Food, Nutrition, Allergy, and Safety Disclaimer

Recipes, meal plans, grocery lists, nutrition information, allergen information, substitutions, cooking times, temperatures, instructions, and other food-related content available through Aioli are provided for convenience only and are used at your own risk.

Aioli does not guarantee that any recipe, ingredient, substitution, instruction, nutrition estimate, allergen flag, or food safety suggestion is accurate, complete, safe, or suitable for you or anyone else.

You are responsible for reviewing recipes, ingredients, labels, allergens, substitutions, cooking instructions, food handling, temperatures, expiration dates, cross-contamination risks, and suitability before preparing, serving, or consuming food. Consult a qualified medical or nutrition professional before making health-related dietary decisions.

13. Household and Sharing Features

Aioli may allow you to create or join households and share recipes, grocery lists, meal plans, notes, pantry information, activity, and other content with other users.

When you join or contribute to a household, content and activity you add to that household may remain available to the household even if you later leave, are removed, or delete your account, unless the content is separately deleted where available. This may include shared recipes, meal plans, shopping list items, household activity, meals marked as cooked, and attribution or other contribution history where applicable. Your personal recipes, personal plans, and private account content remain associated with your own account unless you choose to share them.

14. Community Features, Public Profiles, and Moderation

Aioli may offer public profiles, creator pages, public recipes, public collections, comments, ratings, reviews, community discovery, public links, featured content, and other social or community features.

Public profile information and public content may be visible to other users or outside Aioli depending on the feature and settings. This may include display name, username or handle, profile photo, bio, public recipes, collections, links, attribution, engagement metrics, and similar information.

We may review, remove, restrict, de-rank, hide, format, label, disable comments on, or refuse to display content for legal risk, safety risk, abuse, harassment, spam, misleading content, IP complaints, platform risk, quality control, commercial reasons, community integrity, or Terms violations.

15. Advertising, Sponsored Content, and Partner Offers

The Service may include advertisements, sponsored content, affiliate links, partner offers, product recommendations, grocery-related offers, local offers, or links to third-party services. Sponsored content may be identified where required by law or platform policy.

We do not endorse or control third-party products, services, claims, websites, or advertisements, and we are not responsible for your interactions with third parties.

16. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, trademarks, logos, branding, text, graphics, interfaces, features, and other content, is owned by Aioli or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property and other laws. Except for the limited license granted to you in these Terms, we reserve all rights in the Service.

You may not use Aioli’s name, logo, trademarks, or branding without our prior written permission.

17. Feedback

If you provide ideas, suggestions, comments, or other feedback about the Service, you grant Aioli the right to use that feedback without restriction, attribution, or compensation to you. Feedback is not confidential.

18. Intellectual Property Complaints

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content available through the Service infringes your copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights, contact us at legal@aioli.recipes with your name and contact information, identification of the work claimed to be infringed, identification of the allegedly infringing material and where it appears in the Service, a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized, a statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and your physical or electronic signature.

We may remove, restrict, disable, or de-index content in response to appropriate notices. We may allow counter-notices or disputes where appropriate and may terminate or restrict repeat infringers.

19. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, limit, or terminate access to the Service for Terms violations, abuse, misuse, fraud or suspected fraud, security risk, legal or regulatory risk, IP complaints or repeat infringement, third-party platform misuse, harmful or unsafe conduct, excessive usage or fair-use abuse, or conduct that may harm Aioli, users, third parties, or the Service.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including sections regarding User Content licenses, intellectual property, feedback, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution, and general terms.

20. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aioli disclaims all warranties, express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, reliability, security, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, secure, accurate, complete, or free of harmful components. We do not guarantee that recipes, imports, AI outputs, grocery lists, meal plans, recommendations, or third-party content will be accurate, safe, lawful, or suitable for you.

21. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aioli and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, loss of goodwill, service interruption, computer damage, or the cost of substitute services.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aioli’s total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of GBP 50 or the amount you paid to Aioli for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This cap applies on a per-user basis and does not limit or exclude any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.

22. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Aioli and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, affiliates, licensors, and service providers from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, judgments, penalties, fines, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to your User Content, imported third-party content, public or community content, IP infringement, misuse of the Service, unlawful activity, breach of these Terms, violation of third-party rights, or use of third-party platforms or content through Aioli.

23. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You and Aioli agree to first attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting legal@aioli.recipes.

For claims not resolved informally and not required by law to be handled elsewhere, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory consumer rights or rights to bring claims in your local courts where applicable law gives you those rights.

24. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service, by email, or by other reasonable means. The updated Terms will be effective as of the date stated in the updated version. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

25. App Store Terms

If you download the Service from the Apple App Store, Google Play, or another app marketplace, your use of the Service may also be subject to that marketplace’s terms and policies. Those marketplace providers are not responsible for the Service except as required by their applicable terms.

26. General Terms

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms presented to you for specific features, are the entire agreement between you and Aioli regarding the Service. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or by operation of law.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
