How to cook with Aioli
Start a cook from a recipe or a planned meal and Aioli walks you through it one step at a time.

The Cook tab is a kitchen chat. Start a cook from a recipe or a planned meal, and Aioli guides you through each step with a step sheet at the bottom of the screen.
Start a cook
- Open the Cook tab and ask for a recipe, for example "Cook the salmon". You can also start from a recipe, a planned meal in your Schedule, or Continue cooking on a cook you left running.
- If Aioli asks for permission to use AI, allow it. If you decline, you get the plain steps instead.
- Answer Got everything when Aioli asks "Got everything on the list?" Aioli checks your shopping list first and tells you what is missing.
- Tap Next on the step sheet to move to the next step.
While you cook
- The step sheet shows where you are, for example "Step 2 of 6".
- Type in Ask about this step to get help, such as what to use instead of an ingredient.
- Ask Aioli to time something and it sets a timer. Tap +1 min to add time.
- When a timer ends, Aioli asks "Is it done?" You can answer Carry on, Suggest a swap or Wait.
- Long press to turn on hands-free. Aioli listens and reads each step aloud. Say next, back or repeat.
Cook more than one recipe
If you ask for another recipe while one is cooking, choose Cook both to follow them together, or Switch to this one to stop the first. Switching stops its timers. Choose Just the steps to see the plain steps instead.
Leave or end a cook
Leave the cook and it keeps running, along with its timers. Tap its card on the Cook tab to get back to it. Tap End cooking to stop. Aioli asks first, and the recipe stays on your plan.
